Re: carpal tunnel syndrome and tfcc tear

I fell and broke my elbow 7 months ago. I was told by ortho PA that the associated wrist pain and inability to move my wrist was related to the fracture. Fast forward 5 months later and I was told I had TFCC tear and CTS. I just had open carpal tunnel release and TFCC debridement done at the same time. Is it common to do at the same time?
