Tingling in Thumb After Laceration

Four days ago, my left thumb was cut by a can lid. The cut is on the palm side of the thumb and more towards the side furthest from the other fingers. The tingling began in the thumb immediately after the cut. There is still feeling, but I cannot distinguish hot/cold, sharp/dull.
