LPR Acid Reflux Surgery

Hello, my mother has been diagnosed with LPR Acid Reflux and have been on medication for the past 9 months for it. Her meds is not helping her so shes now having surgery done. She is wondering what to expect from the surgery? What will they do? What will recovery be like? What are the chances it will help her?
