Surgery for Posterior Ankle Impingment?

I injured my ankle playing netball nearly 3 months ago. I had an MRI which revealed a compression fracture of the talar, which I saw an orthopaedic surgeon about. He was not particularly concerned, given that the fracture was only on the underside of the talar neck and not displaced.
