swollen painful soft palate after dry heaving

5 days ago I experience some heavy vomiting and dry heaving, ever since then my soft palate has been swollen and has a intense burning sensation constantly! It hurts to swallow, which makes eating near impossible. Ears are painful as well. I can't afford a Dr visit, is there anything I can do to treat this at home or, at least subside the pain.
