Menstruation after femoral hernia repair?

Hello, On the 8th of May I went to the hospital with an extremely painful lump in my groin and it turned out to be a femoral hernia which was repaired with mesh via keyhole surgery the next morning. I've healed up fine, everything seems to be okay other then the fact that my period is a few days late. This isn't normal at all.
