reason for swollen lips???

I woke up yesterday morning with my lips quite swollen (think Angelina Jolie or collagen lip injections). They did go down a bit throughout the day but have not yet returned to normal. They are a bit tingly and tight feeling and a bit lighter in color than usual except the outer edge which remained a darker pink. There is no evidence of a cold sore and I have never had one before.
