Congested sensation in ear after respiratory virus.

I was sick with a bad cold/flu a couple of weeks ago. I have gotten better but continue to have this sensation of congestion in my left ear; like it is muffled. I went to an ENT and he said there is no fluid or sign of infection. I even had a hearing test to rule out damage to hearing from the virus and fortunately that is not the case.
