Red circle on scalp

I noticed a small red circle on my scalp the other day. I did a quick search and the most common response was ringworm However I don't believe that is what i have due to no hair loss. On my scalp there is a small circle that is darker on the outside almost like a ring. And the inside is also red. There is no itching or any side affects besides the circle on my head.
