Intense Arch Pain

A couple of days ago I went to the ER with a very painful paronychia in my right big toe that turned out to have a large abscess. The doctors drained the abscess and my toe instantly felt better. However, since then I've developed this severe, often times surging, pain in the arch part of my foot. I went back to the ER where the doctor x-rayed my foot to check for osteomyelitis.
