Red Patch On Neck

I just noticed today that I have a red raised patch on the right side of my neck. It is a bit scaly and mildly itches. It is oval in shape and about 1 inch long. I have not worn anything (i.e. necklace, scarf etc.) that could have directly irritated my neck. I have already had Pityriasis Rosea when I was much younger, so that diagnosis is ruled out.
