Coup-Contracoup injuries without impact?

Hi all, Is it practically possible to suffer a coup-contracoup injury without impact onto something hard? I ask this because I regularly attend concerts and headbang. While common sense says that brain damage would be unlikely without impact, it seems possible (to me at least) to create rapid acceleration and deceleration that would cause the brain to collide with the skull.
