Boil on above my lip, please help

5 days ago, I developed a boil above my lip. I believe the boil is from an in-grown hair because I shaved my mustache the day before.. It popped today,but there's some bloodvessels that look like they've been infected around it (bruising). I've read that popping a boil on the face is fatal because of brain infection..
